Tourism is often perceived solely through the lens of leisure and holiday excursions. However, at Passionate Young Leaders Initiative (PYLI), we recognize that tourism is one of the most powerful instruments for education, economic diversification, and grassroots social transformation.

Reaching Grassroots Students Across 10 LGAs

Over the past several months, our outreach team embarked on an intensive tour across 10 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State. Our mission was straightforward yet vital: introduce secondary school students to the immense potentials of sustainable tourism, foster cultural appreciation, and empower them to view their heritage as a source of economic resilience.

During each school session, our facilitators engaged students in interactive workshops exploring local landmarks, eco-tourism opportunities, and hospitality enterprise. We emphasized that preserving historical sites and sharing authentic stories not only builds regional pride, but also generates sustainable livelihoods for young entrepreneurs.

Educational Support & Direct Student Aid
